12 Head of State in Bali Democracy Forum 2012

Bali Democracy Forum (DBF) will be attended by 12 head of state. The forum will be also attended from other 73 member countries around the world. So far, all of the participants from those 73 countries has been confirmed to attend this world class forum which will be held in the prestigious area Nusa Dua, Bali. BDF will be held for 2 days on the 8th – 9th of November, 2012, in Nusa Dua Bali, as the fifth forum since the first time was in 2008.

All of those head of state are coming from Australia, China, Brunei Darussalam, Timor Leste, Thailand, Singapore, Iran, Afghanistan, Yaman, South Korea, Myanmar and Papua New Guenie. Beside that, there are 27 prime minister from the countries will be also attend the forum. Australia and South Korea will be acted as the Co-chair of this forum.

The Bali Democracy Forum will be opened by the President of Republic Indonesia Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Total participants of this forum is 1,246. They are come from 73 countries around the world. In this forum which will study the development of democracy in each country and the territory. If the head of state or the prime minister does not in present, then they will be replaced by their own observer from their country.

President Yudhoyono will give the welcoming session on the first day and then opening the forum. After that will be continuing with the assembly session. This session is about reading the statement about the democracy by 10 head of state. On the second day, there will be some interactive discussion taking for some themes, they are Safe & Peace in Democracy, Human Rights in Democracy, and Democracy and Economic Development. Beside that, the forum will be used by the head of state to have a bilateral meeting.

To keep the successful of this world class forum, the security around the area has been tighten up. For those who need to in and out the area will be scanned for more than 3 times. If someone bring the vehicle they must leave their driving license at the security office, to get the temporary ID card as the signal this person is ok entering the area.

This kind of strong security can be seen since we go out from Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport. For the information, the distance between Bali airport to Nusa Dua area is only 15 minutes drive. Along the road (called Bypass Ngurah Rai) there are hundreds of police. Their prime duty is to keep the security of the area, and the organize the traffic of the road.
