28th Bali Kites Festival has been held at Padanggalak Beach Sanur Bali from July 20, 2006 for a week. Hundreds of kites in various body size and tails flying on the sky, making Padanggalak Sanur sky to be more colourful.

Many locals and tourist from overseas gather on the beach to see how the owner of the kites trying to flew their kites to the sky in so many different ways. Some of them has succesfully make their kite on the sky, but many of them has not.

Bali island in July and August is the perfect time to get kites on the beach. The wind is quiet fast and the sky is quiet clear. The other areas such as Nusa Dua, Kuta and Jimbaran usually has the same perfect condition just like in Padanggalak Sanur.

The wind is the key in order the kite will be succesfully on the sky. Especially when you have a very big kite. One of the participant bring his 15 meters kite helped with his 40 friends. In the beginning they looks have some difficulties to flew their kite, but in the next few minutes they succesfully flew it.

So enjoy the 28th Bali Kites Festival..Lets hope we can still see it next year.
