For some tourist having a car for transportation for their stay in Bali is a must. Especially for those who have been visiting Bali in many times maybe twice or more in a year. These type of tourist usually knows Bali areas as well and want to explore inside Bali by visiting its places of interest by self drive, not by the driver or tour guide.

Anyway below are some of the transportation that available in Bali. Especially for Bali, there is only one or two of tourist that need it service, not much to mention.

Airport Taxi
The airport taxi service covers most areas and the prices are fixed. Pay the cashier at the desk in the airport and give the coupon to the driver. You can tip the driver. Also remember to ask him not to drive fast.

Bemo
This is the local's basic transportation. Cheap but crowded and Noisy. You will charged 5 to 10 times the local's rate. Try to bargain the price in half.

Bicycles
Cycling can be a cheap and enjoyable way to get around, alhough you must remember you do NOT have the right away in any situation. This is a different driving environment.

Driving
Many people rent cars in Bali for the holiday but it is best to rent a car with a driver. Not expensive for the day and you can enjoy the ride and not be hassled. Motorcycles are for those with an immortality pact with God.

Taxis
Make sure the taxi driver re-sets the meter before you start off. Warn the driver if he is driving dangerously. There are so many people with minibuses and cars that act as private taxi but you need to negotiate the price.
